Copia (Pronounced like 'Cornucopia')
Government:
The main captial of Copia is Hykan and is ruled by the Duke and Duchess, Will and Kate. Protecting them are the "Copian Royal Guard". They are a special group of Knights tasked to protect Royalty. They are also tasked in protecting the Koa's Candle inside the Hykan cathedral.
Population:
Hykan around 3000, Agon around 300, Rubai around 1000, Cairn around 200, and Yssam is 1 unless you count the ghosts.
Description:
Copia is a large island with 4 small islands surrounding it. Copia is mostly protected from the monsters due to their ancestral flame “Koa’s Candle.” The flame is described as white as the snow and shines like a star.
The flame will never burn out even when exposed to water and has been the symbol of hope for all of the people of Copia. The flame lies in the center of the cathedral of Hykan which is a large city in the middle island where most of the people live.
There are also five shrines scattered around the Island’s compass directions each with a symbol that represents the holy white flame. Around these shrines are towns that have their own economy. In each of these shrines is a 1/5th of the sacred relic the “Copian Mirror.” All five shards are separated to all five shrines.
Many monsters in many varieties roam the islands but what stops them from attacking settlements is the separate shrines and the holy flame making travel dangerous to any but the brave and strong.
Hykan is the center Island while Agon is the Island the North. Cairn is the Island to the south while Rubai to the west and finally Yssam is the one to the East.
Agon is a massive Tundra with harsh landscapes and monsters alike although it is also known to have the purest water from it's springs in the Emerald Falls just northeast of the Agon Shrine. It is also known to have great ice fishing spots. In terms of the settlement itself the houses are mostly wooden and made to keep out the cold. Fire stoves are a common thing here and so is ice fishing.
The Agon Shrine is just north of the Agon Settlement.
Rubai is a Desert area with harsh climates with fierce monsters and lots of sand dunes. Rubai is the only area you will find the Rubai Colliseum where you can test your skill against monsters or other fighters in this massive Colliseum. The Colliseum takes place above the Rubai settlement making it the only known Colliseum in the sky.
The Rubai Shrine lies at the top of the Colliseum.
Cairn is a Jungle like area full of trees and wildlife. Many ancient ruins with deadly traps and monsters can be found here. But look on the bright side there's always a chance of striking it rich with treasure to be found. The locals here are mostly friendly as long as you don't go digging around the burial sites. This is where you want to make your stop if you are in the mood for something unique in terms of food. Ever had boar meat stew before? Neither have I!
The Cairn Shrine lies within a old ruin.
Yssam is a Forest area much like Cairn but the main difference is that feeling you get when you are there. It's that same feeling you have that would make your hair stand on end. For some reason their is an odd magic surrounding Yssam keeping it in eternal night. The only safe haven from the monsters is a large mansion within the woods but that is said to be haunted. What's really going on is the Spirit of Darkness rules over this as his domain. Vicra the forgotten spirit of Darkness who once protected Copia along with Koa' and the ghosts are the people who once lived in that mansion given a safe haven by Vicra.
The Yssam Shrine lies within the mansion somewhere.
And finally Hykan that lay in the center island, It is a Castle town area known far and wide as the center of trade between the nations and where the Sacred Flame lies. Many scattered shops and stands surround "Market" area of Hykan where much trade can be found here and different sorts of items found worldwide. The "Town Square" is where most of the poeple live and where you will find the most people besides the market. It's also where you can find some resturants around with different themes. There is also a few Inns there as well. Then within the "Castle" lies the Duke and Duchess ruling over Hykan and protecting them is the Copian Royal Guard. Then finally the "Cathedral" area where everyone in Hykan goes to church and prays to the goddess. The Sacred flame is kept within the Hykan shrine guarded by the Copian Royal Guard and tended to by the priests of Koa'.
Technology:
For travel it's usually horse and carriage and sailboats. For the sake of weapons and such they are usually using medevial style weaponry like Rifles, Cannons, spears, swords and shields, etc. Magic is also prominent in the world.
Economy:
Hykan: Since Hykan is the center of Trade it usually is known far and wide for it's different foods, Items, Armors, Weapons and such. Hykan provides to everyone what Cairn, Agon and Rubai provide the others as well as their unique rice festival that they throw each year in Hykan where everyone makes some kind of food out of rice and brings it to a giant potluck in the town square.
Cairn: The majority of Cairn's trade is through hunting mostly because they live out in the wilderness of the jungle. Because of this animal pelts and meat are common but the most saught after is boar. As boar makes their signature dish "Boar Meat Stew" or "Cup of Cairn".
Agon: Agon is known for their fish but their most famous product is their seal jerky. As the people of Agon have taken to using seal as a main byproduct of the Agon settlement besides their ice fishing. Seal Jerky is known for its unique chewiness and flavor. But it's that special spice put on it that heats things up for those wishing to stay warm during the cold called "Agon Spice".
Rubai: Rubai is known for its coliseum in the sky but also for their weapons and armor that they make in their market area. This isn't low quality stuff as most are made with "Rubai Rock" a special mineral only found in Rubai that is usually made to make light armor and weapons. Although chunks of Rubai rock can be melted down with steel to make a heavy armor or weapons.
Yssam: Yssam has no economy but bring candy just in case. The ghosts on the other hand usually just do their usual thing of scaring anyone that dares enter the mansion. To the ghosts that is all they need in the world. Although for some reason they have an obsession with candy and usually have some stored away in the mansion somewhere. A single person lives on his own in this very mansion.
